Pranabendu Dasgupta (1937-2007) was a Bangla poet, art critic and a professor of comparative literature at Jadavpur University, Calcutta. He had a PhD in English from the University of Minnesota. His published collections of poetry include এক ঋতু/One Season (1976), অন্ধ প্রাণ, জাগো/Blind Soul, Awake (1984), শ্রেষ্ট কবিতা/Selected Poems (1987), এখন গুজব নেই /No Rumour Now (1991).
